 The end of the cloudberry season is upon us. It's been a great one with record numbers of berries picked across Lapland. We've picked enough for Arctic Frontier's Wild Food Cooking Workshops and our morning porridge!
White night period. 18°. Sunny periods.  Finnish sauna tourture devices wrapped in plastic, ready for the freezer.
White night period. 15°. Partly cloudy.  Not as big as Putin's pike. But in Finland we catch our pike with our hands.
White night period. 14°. Sun and golden late summer light!  One of the tastiest berries around is the Arctic raspberry. Increasingly rare in the wild, but seen flowering here.
White night period. 14°. Clouds and rainy periods.  A weekend stroll. Reindeers are a common sight on the summer roads. It gives them a break from bush bashing.
White night period. 18°. Cloudy.  Nature's lolly shop. Cloudberry picking is even fun for the kids. Free sweets from the forest.
White night period. 16°. Sunny and cloudy periods.  Golden summer sunsets. Not long until the auroras will be reflected in the lakes. Time for us to fish and enjoy the light!
