High aurora activity, but no longer enough darkness... 2°. Clouds.

The last of the auroras on our lake. Our aurora season is now over. Thanks to all our guests for helping make it a successful one! We will be back in September for another season of Aurora Chasing. In the meantime check out our summer foraging programs and Arctic Wild Food Cooking Workshops.
Low aurora activity. 8°. Partly cloudy.  The curious pine marten, investigating the owl nesting box in front of the Arctic Frontier cabin. More from the 'frozen in time' Arctic Frontier animal collection.
Moderate aurora activity. 5°. Clear skies, clouds arriving later tonight.  Even the snowmen are enjoying the spring sunshine! Great snowman making conditions in Levi, Finland. The snow is warm and wet enough to clump together now - our winter snow is dry and doesn't stick.
Moderate aurora activity. 6° (note no minus symbol!!!!!) Clear skies.  Kicking back at sunset at the Northern Lights Ranch. Even I had to do the 'foot selfie' in our glass ceiling cube - there is an insta moment in every corner of the place!
Moderate aurora activity. -1°. Clear skies, cloudy overnight. The last week of the Aurora Chase season is upon us. The Northern Lights continue to shine on Levi, Finland.
High aurora activity. 0°. Clear skies tonight.  A pine marten down by the cabin. More creatures from the 'frozen in time' collection and soon to be taken to another place.
Low aurora activity. -2°. Clouds arriving tonight and then clearing.  A bit of fun in the snow while waiting for the aurora. Thanks to Vingie and Anson for the pic and the creative light painting.
Low aurora activity. -1°. Mostly cloudy.  A unique moment from Aurora Chase #76. Misha's light moment.
Low aurora activity. -2°. Cloudy with possible gaps later tonight.  Spring sunshine in Pallas! The Aurora Chase now leaves Levi at 10pm - the daylight is still with us until late in the evening. Only a few weeks to go until we can no longer Chase due to the bright skies.
Moderate aurora activity - increasing later in the day. -1°. Cloudy, gaps should appear later this evening. |
