Thanks to Jess @jvphotofilm for another great entry to our end of season photo competition. Love the soft blues and purples on the edge of the aurora. Send us your favourite pic from your Aurora Chase or Snow, Fire & Feast, or our photo tours for a chance to win an A2 print of it.

The ice is starting to flow in the rivers. Can you feel the excitement from the other half of Arctic Frontier that the fishing season is about to start? The migratory birds are arriving in larger numbers and the sounds of the forest are filled with spring bird calls - the period of snow filled silence has ended.
No nautical night. 4°c (39°f). Thanks to Gail from Australia for sharing this beautiful picture of our cottage by the lake from our Aurora Chase in December. The Orion constellation can be seen resting above. A fine entry for our end of season photo competition.
Send us your favourite pic from your Aurora Chase or our Wild Food experiences for a chance to win an A2 size print of it. Three lucky winners will be decided on Monday 6 May 2019. No nautical night period. 2°c (53°f) We're celebrating the end of the aurora season. Email us your favourite pic from your Aurora Chase or our from our Snow, Fire & Feast or our Wild Food Cooking Workshops and 3 lucky winners will receive an A2 size print of it.
No nautical night period. 6°c (43°f). The aurora season is now over. Thanks to all our wonderful guests who shared the adventure with us. Email us your favourite pic you took from the season and 3 lucky people will receive an A2 print of it in the post.
No nautical night hours - too light to see the aurora. 10°c (50°f) When the rocks start to reappear we know that the summer months are near. We've been checking for the first leaves in 'our' wild nettle patch and the first of the mushrooms will be here soon. Chasing has come to an end, but now the foraging begins!
Low aurora activity. +5°c (41°f) The nautical night hours are getting shorter, but we are still Chasing for a few more nights. We had some amazing Northern Lights last night and people to share it with too! Kate started her Chasing season with a selfie (see 3 December 2018) and this is her last aurora selfie for the 2018/19 season. Juha added the constellation - does this mean it's not a 'selfie' now?
We are taking a break from our social media accounts for a few weeks and we'll return with the announcement of our annual Arctic Frontier photo competition. Low aurora activity. 5°c (41°f). |
