Another successful night of Aurora Chasing. Thanks to Marie and @mavoyainsividualreisen for joining us. We can no longer see a double aurora reflection in the lake, but the arrival of snow is a welcomed one!
Low aurora activity. -6°. Getting colder! Cloudy with breaks - we will be chasing the gaps in the clouds! Take the ultimate Arctic selfie on our Aurora Chase™! Thanks to Monkey & his fabulous mum Clare, from Mudpie Fridays for a great evening and also for sharing their photograph. Their experience with Arctic Frontier was at highlight of their Levi adventure - click HERE to check it out.
Moderate aurora activity. -5°. Partly cloudy. Rauhala was glowing in the golden light of midday! Such amazing light this time of year - the sunsets last for hours and 'the blue moment' has begun. Any time of the day or night is good for photography up here!
Moderate aurora activity. -5°. Partly cloudy. Get yourself in the picture. Our Aurora Chase™ supplies you with the gear and equipment to capture the best pics of the aurora. We can make your Aurora dreams come true AND you get to take your own photographs of your adventure with Arctic Frontier!
Moderate aurora activity. -4°. Clouds should clear tonight. Love is in the air. And some aurora as well. Big congratulations to Sean and Enkeli.
Moderate aurora activity. 0°. Partly cloudy. The magic of the changing season. It's so wonderful to notice those small things in nature that often go unnoticed...even on a Monday!
Good aurora activity. -6°. Clear skies! The first snow is a trackers delight! The lines in the snow are from the wings of the Arctic crows and they have left their foot prints too. There has also been a fox walking along the lake. Our tracking skills aren't up to guessing what was there first, the fox or the bird? Not many cranberries picked today because of the snow, but it was interesting without the berries! Join Arctic Frontier for a Snow, Fire & Feast tour, and find some footprints in the snow yourself!
Good aurora conditions. 4°. Warm (relatively!) and cloudy. ...of the mind and in nature! This photograph is actually in colour! The two kotas in the pic are of the temporary kind which have been used for centuries up here to protect people and their things from the weather.
Moderate aurora activity. 3°. Cloudy and wet! The clouds finally parted and look what was there! And thanks to Tina and Blaz for bringing the good fortune with them.
Moderate aurora activity. -4°. Clouds with the occasional breaks. |
