Strong aurora activity. 15°. Clear skies. Our bounty is this big bolete. We've been extending our foraging range and heading further north to look for these beauties. Come and collect wild food with us on our wild food experiences, or cook these beauties in our Wild Food Cooking Workshop.
Low aurora activity. 15°. Clouds & rainy periods. The auroras are returning with the darkening nights. This is from midnight last night. We're picking the berries and making the cordials for Arctic Frontier's Aurora Chase™. Not long now!
Officially we are in 'Nautical Night' period, but if the auroras are strong we can see them. 16°. Clear skies. A lichen paradise. Mushroom season has arrived and we are picking every day! Foraging is such a great way to explore the forests here - you notice the smallest things when you are looking for mushrooms.
Nautical night period. 17°. Partly cloudy. Our aurora season starts in 2 weeks. We are now taking bookings for the Aurora Chase™. Cameras, tripods, remote controls and professional instruction provided. And you get to keep the memory card with your very own pictures of the aurora.
Nautical night period - possible to navigate using the stars, but not enough to see aurora. 19°. Clear skies & still very warm. We pick all our own berries for Arctic Frontier. Here, cranberries are a delicious topping for our home made ice cream with crushed gingerbread and lingonberries. Join us for a Wild Food Cooking Workshop to learn how to make your own!
